Coco Coir

Coco Coir is the fibers that make up the outside of a coconut. These fibers make a great growing media for the horticulture industry. They are able to hold nutrients, air and water. The coir is a 100% renewable resource. It is compressed when shipped and then expanded before going into soils. The ability to compress and expand this product makes it more environmentally and economically feasible to ship than other products. A compressed “brick” weighs approximately 10 pounds and when hydrated properly will expand to 2-2.5 cubic feet. Our source triple washes their coir and promises an EC less than 0.5.
